Chicagoland, SE Wisconsin, NW Indiana – West Great Lakes ACA Intergroup
Category Archives: 2017 ACA Events
Welcome to the list of 2017 ACA Events. The West Great Lakes Intergroup sponsors most of these events. A few of these events are not sponsored by the Intergroup. We think they may be of interest to ACA fellow travelers.
We encourage you to consider attending an event. Get more information about the event by emailing the webmaster at email@example.com. We will forward your message to the appropriate person. That person will follow up with you regarding your question.
Length of Posting
We will leave these events posted on the West Great Lakes ACA Intergroup web site for the remainder of 2017 and all of 2018. We will do this so that fellow travelers can see the number and kind of events sponsored by the West Great Lakes ACA Intergroup and the meetings that are affiliated with it.
IMPORTANT: It is important know how many people will be attending our 6th Annual ACA Event. It affects the seating and ordering of the food and beverages for the day. Your RSVP is needed by October 13th.
Ready Set GO!! Meetings are closed ACA meetings for introducing the ACA 12 Steps and
the ACA program over a four week period. Ready Set GO!! is for newer ACA members to
become acquainted with the ACA Twelve Steps. RSG is good preparation to do the ACA 12
Step Workbook when a member feels ready. The experienced member may like to refresh
The material is taken from our Big Red Book and our ACA 12 Step Workbook. It requires those in attendance to listen to the material with an open mind and an open heart and in good faith with a desire to learn about ACA recovery. Ready Set GO!! can be taken over and over again to get more out of it. Requests will be made for Sharing Partners for the 4 weeks.
It is suggested that interested members can go to download and print out the 101 page pdf of the script and the handouts of the Ready Set GO!! material. Print this out in a single sheet format and bring this material to all the meetings. If you cannot print this material you are still welcome to join the meeting for listening, sharing and connecting with other adult children. Just following along with your computer would be just fine.
It is suggested members commit to attending the 4 consecutive meetings in a row to cover
all 12 steps. Our agenda includes:
1. Add these dates to your calendar
2. We gather at the chosen location and find a path to walk
3. We walk and talk for an hour to an hour and one-half
4. Lunch (optional) follows at a local restaurant.
Please RSVP to Kathleen A. at 847-946-0170
We will provide cold water!
Share the word about these Walk + Talks with other ACA’s!!!
