Important Updates for the February 1st Quarterly Delegate Meeting
Many of us received this notice from the ACA World Service Organization recently. It is a good time to check on the registration of your group’s delegate to the Annual Business Conference.
Dear ACA Meeting Representative,
We are writing with important updates regarding ACAโs upcoming Quarterly Delegate Meeting (QDM), which will be held February 1st, from 9 am to 1 pm eastern US time. If your group does not have a registered delegate that represents you, please share this announcement with your group.
This is an exciting opportunity for your group to help shape the future of the ACA World Service Organization. Your group’s voice is important to sustain our ACA fellowship’s voice at the world service level. Come be a part of the solution and meet new friends from around the world. During the February 1st QDM the following will be addressed:
- Conference policy and procedures. We will continue our discussion from the December QDM.
- WSO Board report and Q&A.
- Sustainability sub-committee update
- Preparation for the May 17th and 18th Annual Business Conference (ABC).
- Minority opinion for the Fellowship Group Voting motion from the December QDM
The agenda will be posted on the conference webpage at www.adultchildren.org/conference in the coming weeks. Links to supporting documents will be embedded in the agenda. The agenda will continue to be updated on the website as additional materials become available. Additional resources for the February QDM will also be posted on this conference webpage.
Other important information about what is or will be available on this same conference web page www.adultchildren.org/conference:
- The deadline for registering, or updating an existing registration, is January 27th 2025. If your groupโs delegate registered for the 2024 ABC (which was held this past May), they remain a registered delegate, and will continue to receive emails with meeting information. If your group chooses a new delegate, the currently registered delegate can update your groupโs registration to reflect this.
- If your group also has someone willing to be an alternate delegate, your delegate should fill out the alternate delegate form.
- It is okay for anyone to be an observer at the QDM to see whatโs happening! ACA business meetings are open to all. To register as an observer, go to www.adultchildren.org/conference.
- Delegate Training: 2 sessions are scheduled for January 25th – at 9 am and at 9 pm Eastern US time. A recording of the training will be made available after the training session at www.adultchildren.org/conference.
The Quarterly Delegate Meeting is all-virtual, so attending represents no cost to your group. By having a delegate, your group will play an important role in helping to determine the future of ACA, and it will stay informed about exciting new developments in ACA World Services. Please join us.
Go to www.adultchildren.org/conference to register today!
If you have specific questions that are not addressed on the conference web page, please email us at abc@adultchildren.org.
